Olive Turns One! What a miracle.

Meet my little niece Olive!

She is a miracle baby.

Olive was due on January 9, 2011 but decided to make an appearance on October 8, 2010. She was taken emergency c-section at 26 weeks.

Olive Elizabeth weighed 1 lb. 9 oz. at birth.

I just love her name. Olive. Olive. Olive.

This was Olive shortly after she was born.

We were all holding our breath after her birth, hoping for the best. Praying that precious Olive would survive.

This next pic is Olive's Mommy holding her for the first time. I can only imagine how that must have felt! So much love and emotion.

Here are pics of Olive as she progressed. She underwent several surgeries and stayed strong through it all. What a little fighter!

 This is what Olive's little NICU cubicle looked like. She spent the first 100 days of her life there. 

Finally! The day arrived when Olive could go home with Mom and Dad. Home at last, snuggling with Daddy.

 Growing, growing, growing!

Today, Olive is a surviving, thriving, and inspiring little girl. She is our family miracle. Our special gift.
