The Fair is in Town!

Tanner and Turner along with their buddies Mike and Dylan, went to the tractor pull event at the Holmes County Fair on Monday night. Turner was so excited to see all of the tractor's. He wore his hearing protection all evening and didn't fuss at all. Tanner said the only issue they had was when they went to walk out of the grandstand to get some snacks, Turner took off running into the crowd. Tanner caught him, but he kept trying to break away. We received a child harness, just like this one, for a baby shower gift. We're seriously considering using it at this point. Turner doesn't like to be confined to a car seat, stroller, wagon, or shopping cart. He puts up a fight to get out all of them.

It was a late night at the tractor pulls and the guys didn't get back home until around 9:30. I thought Turner would be exhausted (I know Tanner was!) but the kid fought sleep until almost 10:30! When I woke him up the next morning for daycare he was grumpy and filthy. I gave him a quick wash with baby wipes and couldn't get to daycare fast enough. I'm sure he napped like a champ later.

So what did I do while the guys were out having their fun? I visited a friend and played Wii! So, I"m like 5 years behind on this one since I have never played, but it was awesome! We played tennis, baseball, bowling, golf, and boxing. I almost had to ice my arm when I got home . . . I'm not kidding. Between all of the laughing and playing I think I burned a bajillion calories which totally justifies this Mocha Latte I'm about to guzzle. Cheers!
