Turner will be 2 years old next week.
Time flies.
I don't miss the baby phase so much. I thought I would because holding him in my arms was the best feeling in the world., but I don't.
Right now he is so fun and full of energy. He's smart and daring. He's our little buddy.
The last couple of weeks our little Steinbauer family has been tidying our home and trying to get in as much outdoor play as possible since winter is looming. We've went to tractor parade's, apple dumpling festivals, and pumpkin patches. Turner has enjoyed it all and we enjoy seeing him have a good time. Tanner and I have been trying to think of creative ways to keep Turner occupied indoors, but he's got energy to burn and needs an outlet for it. It looks like we will be investing in snow apparrel for all of us this year.
Tanner has been working 7 days a week for a few weeks now. He said things will slow down soon and while the paychecks are nice, it will be good to have him home more often. How does that saying go? "Never work so hard at making a living that you forget to make a life"
Granted, that is a little extreme for our situation, but it's easy to get addicted to money and sometimes people re-prioritize. Don't worry, I'll keep him in check if it starts getting out of control. =)
Turner had a follow-up appointment at Cleveland Clinic with his eye surgeon last week and even though he will probably need another surgery, it won't be anytime soon. The doc said Turner's eyes look good and we will go back in February for another check-up.
Hunting season is here and Tanner has killed 2 does so far. He got them both in the same night actually. What a stud, just like Rambo. (lol!) I killed one last Thursday, but it was with my car so I don't think it really counts.
We carved pumpkins this weekend. I thought Turner would be into it, but he just pointed to the bowl of pumpkin guts and said, "Ew, guck."
Tanner carved Turner the coolest pumpkin in the world. I love it.

Love the pumpkin...so creative! That stinks that Tanner is working 7 days a week...ugh! Hopefully it will get better soon!
ReplyDeletelove the pumpkin...that's awesome.
ReplyDeleteNunz gave up hunting this year, and i hope he doesn't live to regret it (cuz he got rid of all his crap). although i won't miss the weekends alone when he would go on his little hunting excursions.
you practically need full winter gear now. stupid Ohio cold weather.
It is the coolest pumpkin in the world. I show it to everybody...even the people that don't really care.
ReplyDeleteI am super excited for his birthday party. Hopefully this year he will be more excited about tearing the paper to shreds. If not, oh well...
Nice job killing bambi with the car. Hopefully it didn't do too much damage...you need one of those things on the front of your car like they have on trains!
